A new 0603-sized chip ferrite bead from Murata has high impedance from 300 MHz to several GHz and much reduced DC resistance, making it ideal for suppressing noise well into the GHz band. With DC resistance reduced by 66% or more, operating life of battery powered mobile devices is extended. In addition, the drop-in impedance caused by current passing through the filter is minimised, enhancing noise suppression.
The EIA 0603 format is 1,6 x 0,8 x 0,8 mm. Nominal impedance of the BLM18EG601 is 600 Ω ±25% at 100 MHz and typically 800 Ω at 1,0 GHz. Rated current is 300 mA and DC resistance is 0,25 Ω ±0,1. The operating temperature range is -55-125°C and the device is completely Pb-free.
