Tyco Electronics' DIN rail adapter for MATE-N-LOK cap housings, allows wire and harness installers to bring two ends of a cable assembly or wire harness together at a DIN rail mounted location. DIN rail adapters allow designers to enjoy the benefits of using a proven pin and socket connector and the convenience of DIN rail mounting. This product can be used in industrial control cabinets, industrial machinery, commercial equipment and power distribution applications where DIN rails are used.
Since MATE-N-LOK contacts can be applied with high-speed termination equipment, engineers can experience an applied cost savings when compared to other manual termination methods that require more labour or more costly connectors. Additionally, since MATE-N-LOK connectors are part of the wiring harness, an entire completed harness can be easily installed thereby minimising difficult point-to-point wiring installation methods common in DIN rail applications. Lastly, higher wiring densities are realised with MATE-N-LOK connectors with the DIN rail adapter compared to conventional DIN rail mounted terminal blocks.
