Low-power, high-speed op-amps

Two high-speed, low-power operation amplifiers - the MIC911 and MIC914, drawing only 1,25 mA each - have been developed by Micrel Semiconductor to drive very high-capacitance loads. Adding to Micrel's recently introduced family of high-speed, low-power op-amps, the MIC911 and MIC914 offer one of the industry's best power-to-speed ratios. They require just 1,25 mA of supply current and yet achieve 105 and 160 MHz gain-bandwidth, respectively, claims the company.

The MIC911 is heavily compensated to ensure ease of use; the MIC914 is uncompensated, yet unity-gain stable. These devices complement the recently announced 135 MHz, MIC910 and the 200 MHz, MIC912 op-amps.

All devices are specified at supply voltages of ±2,5 and ±9 V. The DC specifications of the new devices are equal to, or better than the earlier devices. For example, input offset voltage is 1 mV (typical), large signal voltage gain is 80 dB, PSRR is 88 dB and CMRR is an impressive 112 dB.
