With Rittal's newly-developed TE 7000 'Top Efficiency' network enclosure, the company claims to have enhanced its extensive range of racks with a new standard for the IT market. The development focuses on a solution with the maximum amount of user comfort and efficiency for all networking technology sector users.
The new, partitionable network enclosure is based on a self-supporting 19" multifunction chassis that simultaneously functions as a robust enclosure frame. It can be installed using variable depths between the roof and bottom frames at the front and the back. The respective clearance between the front and rear mounting sections enables the positions to be feely selected, within specific as well as individual fixed points, using a slot securing system. The chassis can be fitted with slot-in components having a total load of up to 400 kg as they are distributed over both mounting levels. The entire interior installation fits compactly inside the frame whereas the side panels and doors are mounted on the outside.
The manufacturer says that thanks to the open architecture - no enclosure frames - both mounting levels provide optimum accessibility and maximum use of the interior space thus producing perfect cable 'handling areas' on all sides. Simple user handling is provided by the easy fitting of the doors using spring-pin hinges and light-weight side panels.
Rittal has fitted out the IT-rack in the factory so that it is 'plug-&-play' for standard cabling. The enclosure interior has already been prepared in the factory for the direct installation of the selected accessories. The versatility of the modular technology used includes from sockets to fans and from the locking technology to the extensive safety devices.

Editor's Choice Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
Dross formation is an inevitable consequence of wave soldering. It occurs when molten solder comes into contact with oxygen, forming metal oxides that float on the surface of the solder bath. Over time, this oxidation byproduct accumulates and must be removed to maintain solder quality and process consistency.
