Infineon Technologies claims its third generation integrated multichip power IC family provides the industry's lowest standby power consumption. The CoolSET F3 family exceeds specifications of such standards as Energy Star and the German Blue Angel Eco Norm. The products combine a CoolMOS technology power MOSFET with a new multifeatured fixed-frequency pulse-width-modulation control IC in a single package. On-state resistance (RDSon) is 650 mΩ at a gate voltage of 10 V in the DIP-8 package. They also feature a broad array of built-in functions, eg. active burst mode, peak power limitation, integrated start-up cells.
