The MAX1947 is said to be the smallest 1-cell/2-cell input step-up DC-DC converter on the market. It comes in 3 x 3 mm 8-pin thin DFN package. With 2 MHz switching, current-mode control, component size is reduced and it achieves over 94% efficiency, plus gives fast transient responses. This Maxim device integrates all switches (power switch, synchronous rectifier, and reverse current blocker) in a single chip and also features True Shutdown, which allows the load to be discharged and disconnected from the battery during shutdown to maximise battery life. The MAX1947 accepts low inputs (0,7 V) and delivers low outputs (1,8 V). It offers fixed output options that eliminate an external feedback network.
