Access Control & Identity Management
PTR Messtechnik's multiconnector programme uses two different principles, as can be seen from the pictures of its cross-section.
The original principle is represented by the AK 130 Series. This system is based on 2-pole and 3-pole connectors, which can be assembled as required into multipolar combinations without division loss. Two dove-tails with snap-in locking meet all the special demands made of connectors. As with terminal blocks featuring the screw-type principle, the AK 130 BL Series with solid block construction is also available for the AK 130 Series, which is specially suited to longer-pole applications.
The 950, 1100, 1110 and 1200 Series provide a mutually-compatible connector system. All of these series are available exclusively in solid block form. Both metric and imperial pin pitches are available in combinations of up to 24-poles, depending on type. The required headers are available with open or closed ends, and a large number of connections is possible. To avoid faulty connections the multiconnector systems can be fully-coded without the loss of individual poles.
The AK(Z) 1550 Series has been designed by PTR specially to meet miniaturisation requirements for multiconnectors: pin pitch is 3,5 mm and 3,81 mm, the height has been reduced, and precision block construction is possible from 2 to 20 (16) poles. Unbreakable insulating housing made of high-quality polyamide provides optimal insulating performance, with a UL 94 flammability classification of V-0. They can be ink-jet marked with lettering or symbols as required.
