Power connector prevents finger probe access

The AMP Power Series 50 FPR (finger probe resistant) product is a novel extension to the standard AMP Power Series 50 connector line. The standard 50 A product is inherently accessible by a UL finger probe test and is therefore limited to low voltage or non-user accessible applications. The new 50 A FPR product is designed to help prevent finger probe access and allows the product to be more safely used at elevated voltages and in user access areas.
The product is suitable for use in applications such as power supplies, uninterruptible power sources, battery banks, battery chargers and other power electronics. AMP Power Series 50 FPR connectors are rated for 50 A and 600 V a.c./d.c. They accept 6 through 12 AWG wire with insulation diameters up to 11,2 mm.
The contacts are copper alloy with silver plating. The housings are available in brown or white UL 94-V0 polycarbonate.
