Samtec's new Q2 shielded connector system (QMSS/QFSS Series) provides EMI suppression by incorporating shield plates along the sides of the connector and terminating them to the PCB via selected signal pins. Both single ended and differential pair versions are available as standard. Applications specific options with other signal/ground configurations are also available.
This new system has signal pins on 0,635 mm pitch and is available with 52, 104, 156, and 208 total pins per connector set. It is hot-pluggable with the shields and ground plane mating first followed by the signal pins. Application specific options allow three stage hot-pluggability by reducing the height of the selected signal pins.
Connectors are polarised to assure proper mating. In addition to vertical mating with 11 mm spacing between boards, edge-mount, power combo, and not-shielded versions are available.
Samtec is an end-to-end supplier of connectors, circuits, and sub-systems with extensive in-house Signal Integrity capabilities for design, analysis, manufacturing and assembly of high speed systems.
