Hittite Microwave offers two new InGaP HBT MMIC power amplifiers for applications in cellular/3G, basestations and repeaters from 450 to 2200 MHz. The HMC452QS16G 1 W and the HMC453QS16G 1,6 W linear power amplifiers deliver output P1dB up to +32 dBm, and output IP3 as high as +50 dBm. These high dynamic range MMIC power amplifiers are suited as output amplifiers, or as pre-drivers in GSM, CDMA, and UMTS applications. Both products require only a single +5V supply, and both feature a Power Down (Vpd) control pin which can be used to turn down, or switch off the amplifier collector current for reduced system power consumption. The devices are housed in miniature 16 lead QSOP plastic packages with an exposed ground paddle.
