Miniature packaged surface-mount clock oscillators

20 October 2004 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

Vishay Intertechnology has extended the XOSM family of surface-mount oscillators with three low-voltage devices in miniature 5 x 3,2 x 1,3 mm packages. Designed to provide space and energy savings in portable computing and telecoms devices, they also feature low input voltage ratings of 1,8 V (XOSM-531), 2,5 V (XOSM-532), and 3,3 V (XOSM-533). Their efficiency is enhanced by a tri-state enable/disable function. With low-voltage operation, they also reduce heat dissipation for improved overall reliability. The The Pb-free, HCMOS-compatible oscillators are rated for a frequency range of 1,544 MHz to 100,000 MHz, and all offer frequency stability options of ±25 ppm, ±50 ppm, and ±100 ppm.
