Running on an NS Geode 233 MHz low power CPU, the Gene-4310 is ideal for demanding multimedia and networking applications. This board has ultra compact dimensions of only 150 x 100 mm.
The Gene-4310 is equipped with an NS Cx5530 chipset, an Intel 82559ER Ethernet interface, an on-board 144-pin SODIMM socket allowing for up to 128 MB of SDRAM to be installed and an SSD socket that supports Compact Flashdisk.
It supports non-interlaced CRT and up to 18 bit TFT LCD displays. Its integrated AC-97 2,0 SoundBlaster-compatible audio supports Microsoft DirectSound and DirectSound 3D audio technology in two-speaker mode. Moreover, this board comes with an LVDS interface that supports 18 bit panel signal over a 10 m cable for fast long-distance transmission.
With simultaneous display and 3D audio technology, the Gene-4310 is also equipped with 100Base-T Fast Ethernet that provides the means to get onto a LAN (local area network) with the advantages of Ethernet bandwidth.
