Knitter-Switch has introduced new mini-joystick switches. These switches are available in through hole mounting (TSJ31) and SMT mounting (TSSJ30) options. These switches can be used for all sorts of menu selection, function choices, remote controls, adjustment of probes in measuring units and hand controls of machinery or robots, etc.
Since this series is especially designed for industrial use it is more rugged and with its additional snap-in and positioning pins, it offers a better stability on the PCB than similar parts for multimedia use. The inner structure with its vertical pressure spring for the neutral position, secures the permanent vertical position of the actuator. The simple actuator shape allows an equally simple construction of customised buttons.
Contact rating is 15 V, 20 mA, and contact resistance is less than 100 mΩ. Insulation resistance over 100 MΩ while dielectric strength is 100 V a.c. for 1 minute. Operating temperature range is -25 to +75°C and mechanical life reaches 50 000 operations in each direction.
