Schurter's new cord-connectors are rated for use with cables up to 16/21A. Two types, 4789 and 4790 (plug or connector), are angled for closer placement of the equipment to the wall, saving space and minimising the potential for tangling or tripping.
The rewireable cord connectors have pillar terminals for ease of safe and reliable wire connections. A safe supply can still be assured even if someone struggles over the cord and pulls out the plug because the mounting direction of the plug is 90° turned to the pull force. The size of the strain relief can be specified for an 8,7 mm or 10 mm (16/14 AWG) cable.
Approved according to ENEC 16 A/250 V resp 21A/125, 250 V UL, CSA, the cord connectors are ideal for higher power consuming equipment found in IT environments, high-end household appliances, power electronics (ie, power supplies, voltage stabilisers) as well as industrial environments.
