Yamaichi Electronics has introduced a new Y-Con component to offer industry-protected connection and wiring solutions. The Y-ConCoupler-1 enables the easy and fast extension of existing cable runs. Together with the Y-Con series flange, this coupler module is IP68 and IP67 protected.
Metric cable glands can also be used together with an adapter plate. The modules can also be screw mounted on a wall, and stacked vertically or horizontally thanks to the integrated mounting rails. The coupler module is available in black or blue.
The Y-ConJack-25C is a coupler jack for the Y-ConCoupler and can be equipped with repeater electronics if needed. The jack has eight data and two additionally integrated power contacts. These two power contacts offer these benefits: a second wiring for power (up to 2,1 A or 50 V d.c.) is thus made unnecessary. This saves double effort and cost.
