The PSR safety relay family from Phoenix Contact provides high standards for monitoring emergency cut-out and safety door power circuits and two-hand controls. All connections are pluggable and coded, which gives users high wiring convenience and safety during servicing.
The modules offer reinforced insulation between input and output and between the release and signalling circuits. One- or two-channel safety circuit control is possible with or without short-circuit detection. These modules meet the requirements of EN 954-1 category 4 and can be used for stop category 0/1 as defined by EN 60204.
For monitoring emergency cut-out and safety door circuits, the safety relays feature up to eight release current paths and one signalling path. Drop-out delayed contacts, adjustable up to 600 seconds, ensure safe time functions. The relays offer comprehensive diagnostics capabilities for internal and external peripheral devices. The modules with manual activation also check that the connected start button is working properly to ensure there is no malfunction.
The two-hand control module checks the simultaneity of both inputs down to below 0,5 s. This enables applications in accordance with EN 574 Type IIIC. It also meets safety category 4 for controlling, isolating protective installations.
The component is 22,5 mm wide and provides two release current paths and one signalling path. Using the appropriate expansion modules, it is possible to safely connect up to six release current paths.
