Phoenix Contact's Variocon Power contact inserts designed for cable cross-sections up to 16 mm are now available in four-pin, five-pin and seven-pin layouts for 70 A/690 V.
Due to its compact design and direct PCB connection, the Variocon plug connector system is especially suited for use with devices in protection category IP 67/IP 69K. Additional contact inserts include an eight-pin layout for 160 V/10 A, a six-pin layout for 250 V/10 A, a two-pin layout for 400 V/20 A and a two-pin layout for polymer fibres used in optical data transfer.
The modular contact inserts can be combined with different plastic, metal, or EMC-protected housings. The plug connector system is thus particularly suited for use in drive technology to protection category IP 67 or in cost-effective plastic housings in the case of a simple energy supply.
