The MS9000SA is a easy-to-use rework machine from MS Engineering. The MS9000SA is a combined pick-and-place machine with combination balanced heater. The heater system comprises a hot gas system for the top side of the board, and a wide infrared (IR) emission system for the bottom side.
The MS9000SA was developed for the work and rework of BGAs, CSPs, QFPs, 0603 tip, and other SMDs as well as leaded types. Newer BGAs are equipped with 1000 or more solder balls, and feature ball pitches to 0,3 mm or less. They can be in package sizes of 45 mm square or more. In the past, it was near impossible to safely, precisely, and quickly solder and re-solder (changing) such parts without a heater and a temperature control mechanism to allow heating of all sides of each part. With the MS9000SA is now possible to supply optimal heat to all balls (leads) of a part with the quick starting, high density heaters.
The MS9000SA has two kinds of temperature control systems. The standard SA mode is convenient and has automatic temperature profile operation, while the S mode is effective when a more exact heating characteristic is required, or when it corresponds to special heat load.
The key features are:
* Six heating zones offer flexible thermal control for lead-free soldering.
* Top convection heaters and bottom IR heaters.
* Powerful thermal capability of up to 4080 W.
* Instant profiling system using digital thermal feedback.
* Highly-accurate visual alignment system.
* User-friendly touch panel operation.
* Solder paste printing capability.
