The 838 connector is used for LV and MV electrical connections in harsh environments, where there are large mechanical and climatic constraints.
The typical applications of the 838 connector series includes the rolling stock (train, bus, undercarriage links, cabinet interconnections) as well as signalling and fixed electrical equipment (complying with NF.F 61030 standard).
Souriau's 838 connector series is designed in aluminium alloy to enable a good compromise weight/robustness. The square thread screw coupling withstands very strong mechanical demands. A removable coding system allows 12 positions to be chosen by the operator for the cabling.
