BP Microsystems claims its new BP-4600 is the fastest automated programmer available, both in terms of programming times and throughput. BP says its 6th Generation Programming Technology programming speed increase is not limited to just a few devices but to the largest list of devices supported by an automated programmer all the way down to 1,5 V. That includes Flash memories, microcontrollers and PLDs in packages that range from the largest QFP to smallest µBGAs and Chip Scale Packages. The BP-4600 and the other '4000 series' automated programmers from the company support over 15 000 devices. Over 160 automated socket modules are available, allowing users to changeover from one type of package to another easily within five minutes. Proprietary technology allows programming the full range of Flash memories, microcontrollers, PLDs, and FPGAs with speeds of up to 1200 devices per hour.
