Compact components with high power density, help designers meet the increasing requirements of power supplies. Schurter has designed its DC21 and DC22 power entry modules for PCB assembly, offering valuable space, process and logistical benefits compared to wired components. The DC21 consists of an IEC/EN 60320-1/C14 appliance inlet with a 1 and 2-pole line switch. The product that includes a line filter is available as type DC22.

The DC21/2 inlet modules are made especially for high inrush currents and are suitable for high transient loads. The DC22 with EMC line filter is available in standard rated currents for standard and medical versions. The single components are pre-wired and connected to the PCB via solder pins. The versions with illuminated switches support status indication for the power supply. The same assembling dimension for the 1- and 2-pole line switches, as well as the screw-on and snap-in mountings, aids a variety of designs and optimal safety.

The DC21/2 products are approved to 10 A, 125/250 V a.c., 50/60 Hz according to ENEC, UL and CSA. They are suitable for use in equipment according to IEC/EN 60950. The products are suitable for the use in sophisticated power supplies, especially for the IT, medical and measuring industries, as well as in other industrial equipment.
