Ampro has announced a major upgrade and expansion of its Little Board family of EBX-compatible single board computers. Covering a broad price/performance range, it says the three new Little Board SBCs will drive additional usage.
* Little Board 486e - this single board computer is the new entry-level workhorse of Ampro's EBX offerings. It adds new life to a very robust price/performance niche important to many embedded OEMs. With its highly integrated 133 MHz 486DX4 compatible processor, the Little Board 486e includes up to 64 MB DRAM in a single vertical DIMM, LAN 9000 series Ethernet controller (10 Base-T), C&T 65550 display controller with CRT and flat panel support, four serial ports, parallel port, floppy controller (two drives), primary IDE controller and an on-board Type II CompactFlash socket supporting either SanDisk CompactFlash or IBM MicroDrive.
* Little Board P5v - features the 266 MHz mobile Pentium processor with 512 KB L2 cache and up to 256 MB DRAM. It includes CRT and flat panel support with a Trident Cyber9525 DVD accelerator, 10/100Base-T Intel 82559ER Ethernet controller and Type II CompactFlash socket plus two serial ports, 2x USB, IrDA, parallel, floppy (two drives) and primary IDE (two drives). It is a highly reliable solution for applications requiring at least 500 boards per year.
* Little Board P6d - utilises a high performance 333 MHz Mobile Pentium II (Dixon) processor. It comes with a 256 KB internal L2 cache, optional ECC memory for high reliability, a 3D graphics accelerator and built in SoundBlaster" compatible sound which makes it ideal for new multimedia applications. It supports up to 256 MB DRAM, and includes four serial ports (all RS232 or RS-485), 2x USB, IrDA, Trident Cyber9525 DVD multimedia accelerator with 2,5 MB internal RAM with CRT and flat panel support, 10/100Base-T Intel 82559ER Ethernet Controller and a Type II CompactFlash socket.
