Samtec has added three new cable termination options as standard to its D-Subminiature connector offering.
For high speed applications, Samtec offers 15 and 25 position plugs (DHSC Series) with micro coax Data Rate cable. The 2.1dk 38 AWG cable has a 300 mA current rating with a 4,5 ns/m propagation delay. Each wire is individually shrouded, and the full cable is shrouded again and encased in a metal backshell for rugged reliability. This cable assembly is suited for high speed connects up to 3 m in length.
Discrete wire D-Subs (DSXD Series) and flat IDC cable D-Subs (DCXD Series) are available both as components for customer assembly and as finished cable assemblies. Both sockets and plugs are available with 9, 15, 25, and 37 positions as standard.
For use in high vibration or high shock applications, and optional diecast metal backshell is available for the discrete wire system. As integrated strain relief is standard for the IDC version to protect the contact integrity in multiple mating/unmating cycles.
