Success through concentrating on key competencies defines MPL

MPL, located in Dättwil, Switzerland, develops and manufactures industrial and embedded controllers, industrial PCs and systems specialised for industrial needs and extremely rugged environments. The company is 100% self-financed and fully-independent.

MPL's products are being used in main parts of the world and in numerous critical applications. The success story of the enterprise is based on the uniqueness of its product range, for example, the PC-compatible industrial computer concept (PIP).

The company's unique and innovative solutions provide customers with a quality product that is specifically designed and layed-out for their specific markets and helps them differentiate their products. However, the products are not just rugged - they are also 'long-term available'. Customer support is a significant strength of MPL, and has enabled partnerships with customers for over 20 years. Some MPL products and customised solutions produced since 1985 are still fully supported.

Key strengths in developing and manufacturing technology of MPL are:

* The low power consumption designed into the products.

* The extended temperature range being offered for all products.

* The customised and semi-customised solutions based on customer needs - and also for small quantities.

* The fast, professional support that comes with every product.

In the past, MPL has delivered products in very sophisticated operational fields such as the MIR Spacestation, the Space shuttle, in hospital operation rooms, in cryptology applications and emergency ground control flight systems. MPL has been nominated for its achievements with various awards, the latest at B.E.S.T. (Business Excellent Swiss Trophy) in the category 'Young Enterprise' in June 2005.

After 20 years of developing and supplying products and solutions for industrial environments, medical, transportation as well as for avionics applications, MPL is still eager to differentiate by concentrating on its key competencies to invent high-tech reliable solutions for applications.
