Maxim Integrated Products recently introduced the MAX4402 dual, rail-to-rail op-amp in a tiny 8-pin SOT23 package. This device consumes only 320 mA of supply current per amplifier, while achieving an 800 kHz gain-bandwidth product. Operating from a single +2,5 V to +5,5 V supply, this op-amp is ideal in space-limited, portable/battery-powered applications that require low power without sacrificing bandwidth or gain accuracy.
A patented output architecture is capable of driving 2 kW load within 55 mV of both supply rails while maintaining a 110 dB open-loop gain. The MAX4402 achieves 0,009% total harmonic distortion and is unity-gain stable with capacitive loads up to 400 pF.
The MAX4402 is offered in 8-pin SOT23 and 8-pin SO packages and is specified over the automotive temperature range from -40 to +125°C.
