Ergonomically designed soft-side enclosures

16 November 2005 Circuit & System Protection

Hammond Manufacturing offers 'soft-side' enclosures that are ergonomically designed for handheld comfort. Available in a choice of two versions (with or without battery door and compartment), in two sizes, they are over-moulded in general-purpose ABS plastic with a soft grey plastic grip. The top cover is recessed for membrane display or keypad, and PCB standoffs are moulded into the case.

These enclosures include the removable front panel (for easy modifications) and assembly hardware. The battery door with compartment version includes four battery clips (for two AA size batteries) and a 9 V (PP3) battery clip. There is a choice of two enclosure colours, light grey (RAL 7035) or black (RAL 9011) - soft side plastic is grey (RAL 7012).
