In addition to its popular OGN-SMD fuseholder, Schurter has extended its OGD-type with a SMD-version. The new OGD-SMD uses dual fuse clips that accept either 5 x 20 mm or 6,3 x 32 mm fuse-links. This RoHS compliant part is especially designed with bar packaging offering for automatic pick-and-place assembly for surface-mount.
The fuseholder is approved by VDE for a rated power of 4 W at 10 A and 23°C ambient air temperature and by UL/CSA for 16 A.
Cartridge fuses are mostly used as inexpensive and effective means of circuit protection. The application areas are wide and will be found in many different electronic and electrical industry equipment.
