Samtec's Tiger Eye contacts are multifinger, precision-stamped and formed beryllium copper contacts that are heat-treated to optimise the spring properties for maximum cycles in high reliability applications. These contacts are available in 1,27 mm and 2 mm pitch connector sets and in IDC cable systems. They have been tested at up to 10 000 cycles with optional palladium nickel plating. Lower cost phosphor bronze Tiger Eye LITE versions are also available with many of the same features.
Connector families include polarised and shrouded systems (SFM/TFM Series), friction lock systems (SFML/TFML Series), right angle systems (SFMH/FSH Series), and four row systems (ROLC/FOLC Series). They can be specified with either surface mount or through-hole terminations with a variety of lead counts and as many as 200 I/Os.
Cable systems (FFSD/TCSD Series) are available with mating shrouded ejector headers on 1,27 mm and 2 mm pitch with locking caps for added durability.
