The AVX Interconnect group has released a new ultra-low profile 3 A per contact connector for battery pack or slide-in module applications.
The compressed 'Z' axis height of 1,3 mm leads the industry from a profile standpoint. The initial product is in a 2- and 3-position configuration with other sizes expected to follow. The connector has an integral end block to act as a mechanical stop.
Key features and benefits are ultra-low profile, 3 A per contact, integral end stop and 5k mating cycles. Applications include cellular phones, handheld devices, industrial modules and medical electronics.
