Miniature wirewound resistors have good power to size ratio

8 February 2006 Passive Components

The Phoenix Passive Components wirewound AC-S series miniature resistors offer high power dissipation in miniature sizes. With body sizes varying from 4,3 mm diameter x 10 mm (2 W) to 7,5 mm diameter x 25 mm (10 W), they offer one of the best power-to-size ratios on the market. The AC-S is available in power values of 2, 3, 5 and 10 W at 40°C with high pulse load capabilities. The resistive values range from 0,1 Ω until 6,2 kΩ, in 5% tolerance (E24).

The AC-S Series is coated with a green high temperature non-flammable silicon cement that will not drip, even at high overload. They are suitable for automatic processing equipment and bending machines, and are supplied in various packaging and taping configurations.

Characteristics such as inductance, temperature coefficient, resistive range, tolerance, taping distance and leads style can follow customer specific requirements upon request.
