Erni has expanded its ERmet family of 2,0 mm HM connectors to include through-hole reflow (THR) versions of the type-C connectors. The right-angle type-C ERmet THR female connector offers 55 (5 x 11) signal contacts on 25 mm modules.
Thus, ERNI now offers type A, B, AB and C female ERmet connectors with THR termination. The ERmet female connector with THR termination is designed for economical, fully automatic, SMT placement of modern plug-in cards.
These ERmet type-C female connectors with THR termination and pre-alignment guides are available with or without a metal shield but are not equipped with pre-alignment pins. For fully automatic feeding, they are available in tray packaging.
Its high-temperature-resistant thermo-plastic (LCP) insulating body allows manufacturers to use the connector in all conventional SMT soldering processes. Additional specifications include a current-carrying capacity of 1,5 A (20°C) and at least 250 mating cycles.
