Screwless terminal blocks save access space

22 March 2006 Interconnection

Camden Electronics has launched a new range of 5,08 mm pitch terminal blocks that feature vertical cable entry with the release mechanism in the same plane making them ideal for use in applications where access is restricted. The new CSTB23 series provides secure screwless operation allowing cables to be inserted quickly and easily by opening the terminal clamp with a small screwdriver or similar implement. The sprung terminal clamps hold the cable in place securely ensuring a reliable electrical connection.

CSTB23 series terminal blocks are supplied in single blocks from 2 to 24 poles and are rated for operation up to 16 A at 320 V. Their compact size also makes them ideal for use in applications where space is at a premium.

Specifications include UL94V0 grey PA housing, cable size up to 1,5 mm² and operating temperature range up to 110°C. Featuring IMQ and VDE approvals, the new CSTB23 series screwless terminal blocks offer an innovative solution to the problems posed by restricted space applications. Camden will also be launching a 10,16 mm pitch version offering 16 A/630 V rating.
