Schurter's ring-illuminated PSE M22R piezo switch is a vandal-protected device well-suited for use in tight spaces. As the actuating area is illuminated, it is ideal for equipment designed for night-time use. The ring illumination can also be used for optical feedback or for status display (on/off).
Unlike mechanical switches, piezo switches have no moving parts, offering the advantage that even under continuous operation, there is no risk of loss of function due to parts wearing out. The PSE M22R is rated for 20 million life cycle operation.
The switches are completely sealed by design and all the electronics are encapsulated inside the housing. Being IP67 rated, no fluids or dirt can penetrate inside the switch.
The housing is made of anodised aluminium has a mounting diameter of 22 mm and is available in various colours. The ring illumination is available in red and green and also bicolour red/green. Connection of the switch is either via wire or, alternatively, via a Molex-type connector.
