The MAX1365-MAX1368 from Maxim are standalone panel-meter ICs for industrial sensor applications. These devices feature sigma-delta ADCs which digitise fully differential analog signals in the ±2 V and ±200 mV range and display the results with 3,5- or 4,5-digit resolution on a local LED display. They integrate a 4-20 mA current transmitter to drive a remote panel-meter or other 4-20 mA input. The devices eliminate the need for sensitive and costly external components. Each device includes a 20-bit sigma-delta ADC, an internal 2,048 V reference and an internal oscillator, eliminating the need for precision external capacitors. They also integrate a common-cathode 7-segment LED display driver, ±15-bit DAC, and precision 4-20 mA current transmitter in a 7 x 7 mm, 48-pin TQFP package. The MAX1366/8 ADCs provide a microcontroller interface for independent access and control.
All devices operate off a 2,7 V to 5,25 V ADC/DAC supply, 4,75 V to 5,25 V V/I converter supply, and a 7 V to 30 V supply for the current loop output.
