Subracks receive railway certifications

Components that are used in railway technologies have specific requirements with respect to shock and vibration. Schroff has undertaken testing of its europacPRO subrack, with the results, that europacPRO has successfully passed the tests for NF F 61 005 and NF F 60 002 for the French state railways SNCF and the mechanical testing to EN 50 155, the general standard for rolling stock in Europe.

The modular construction of the 19" subrack enables the users to realise different versions from a range of standard building blocks, that can be combined in a versatile manner. The basic model consists of a minimum two side panels and four horizontal rails. With a varied accessory range, the user can retrofit subracks step by step. A specific EMC version has also passed the tests and are now available for railway applications.

As Schroff anodises all front surfaces and chromates the rear, the user receives a functional scratchproof and optically appealing finish. Due to the hard anodised surface the front panels can be worked on without further surface treatment.
