PCI (Plastic Converter Industries) carries a variety of product ranges that it says covers just about every requirement its customers may have. The company manufactures and distributes its own 'Bateleur' range of enclosures, as well as various imported lines.
The following is a summary of products available from PCI. Should one require a special or custom enclosure, PCI can try to either import or it will manufacture it.
* PCI range: PCI is the manufacturer and distributor of the Bateleur range of enclosures with or without screw-on lids, plug sockets, wall mounts etc.
* European range: PCI stocks the range of Gewiss enclosures. These enclosures are moulded in ABS and are suitable for electronic components. The clear lids are moulded in polycarbonate. The bases are grey. All products are designed to IP65 protection level.
* Taiwanese range: PCI offers a range of Gainta enclosures.
* South African range: the company stocks a range of Enlec enclosures. The enclosures are moulded in polycarbonate and are available with either clear or opaque lids. All enclosures have a neoprene seal and are designed to IP65 protection level. Metal device plates are optional and hinges are available. All enclosures have spring action screws.
* Fibreglass range: a range of glass-reinforced polyester enclosures is also available. These all have screw-on lids, neoprene seals and are designed to IP65 rating unless otherwise specified.
Although Plastic Converter Industries is headquartered in KZN, the company has recently appointed a selling agent to service the Gauteng region.
