Power Electronics / Power Management
Intersil has added another three new models to its iSim library. Models for the ISL8104 and ISL8105, ISL8105A are now available. iSim is an applications-based simulator that features Intersil Power Management devices in a complete virtual design.
The iSim tool features the Intersil Power Management Solution Selector, with dynamic input fields to match your input and output requirements. Options include DDR, VID, isolated and non-isolated, VRM-spec, etc. A reference schematic is generated based on your selections.
The ISL8104 is a synchronous Buck PWM controller, while the ISL8105 and ISL8105A are 5 V or 12 V single synchronous buck PWM controllers.
Suggested applications for the ISL8104 include test and measurement instruments, routers switches, medical instrumentation, industrial applications and telecom/datacom applications.
Applications for the ISL8105 and ISL8105A include power supplies for microprocessors or peripherals, subsystem power supplies, cable modems, set-top boxes and DSL modems, industrial power supplies, general purpose supplies, 5 V or 12 V input DC/DC regulators as well as low voltage distributed power supplies.
