The NJU7084 is a CMOS audio power amplifier from New Japan Radio designed for telephone applications. No external coupling capacitors are required because it has differential outputs. The closed loop gain is adjusted by two external resistors, and an SD pin permits power down while muting the input signal. The NJU7084 is suitable for telephones (incl. portable and wireless), white goods and other speaker amplifier applications. It operates from 2,8 to 5,5 V, and draws 2,0 mA typ. at 3 V. In power down mode it draws only 2 μA typ. Output power is 1 W at 5 V (RL = 8 Ω); 0,4 W at 3 V (RL = 4 Ω). Load impedance can be 4 to 200 Ω. The NJU7084 has a thermal shutdown circuit and comes in VSP8 and DMP24 packages.
