I/O modules series now made even tougher

Advantech's ADAM-4100 high-grade industrial I/O modules have been designed for harsher and more diverse applications. Compared to its ADAM-4000 series, the ADAM-4100 has several new and useful features.
The major feature of the 4100 series is the wider operating temperature from -40 to 85°C. This allows ADAM-4100 I/O modules to be installed in extremely harsh environments. The power input has also been widened to accept any unregulated power source between +10 and +48 V d.c. In order to deal with high noise from facilities like power plants, the company says the 4100 series provides more protection such as 1 kV surge protection, 3 kV EFT and 8 kV ESD protection.
ADAM-4100 I/O modules are also equipped with an LED display. This allows users to monitor the channel status and easily read the address ID. Another welcome feature is that firmware can be updated by an Internet connection. Users can look forward to saving time and money for technical maintenance.
To meet diverse applications, Advantech has released four different high-grade industrial I/O modules: ADAM-4117, ADAM-4118, ADAM-4150, ADAM-4168.
