Embedded motherboard with TMP hardware security

The Enano-8523T from IEI Technology is claimed to be the first embedded motherboard to support hardware-based security based on the TPM 1.2 specification, making it ideal for use in highly secure environments like ATMs or cash management systems. Some of the other motherboard features include a Celeron M 800 MHz processor, four x USB 2.0, four x RS232 ports and a Compact Flash slot for solid-state storage.

About TMP 1.2

The trusted platform module (TPM) provides hardware-based protection against unauthorised access and tampering of data. The TPM can protect and encrypt the hard drive, confirm that the bios, OS and applications have not been tampered with while switched off. The TPM module can also manage and create public/private key pairs, ensuring that only authenticated machines can communicate.
