Hirose's DM1AA Series SD card connectors are a top board mount type with card push-in push-out ejection. A special 'card stopper' prevents accidental card fall-out.
In use the card is securely locked by a lock support, but is conveniently released when directly pulled with a force of approximately 4 N without mechanical damage occurring to the card or connector.
The robust connector end protects against excess card-insertion stress, while the contacts are also protected against incorrect card insertion. There is a grounding spring for SD I/O cards. The DM1AA measures 30,5 x 28,0 x 2,9 mm.
