Norwe offers potting boxes for PCB mounting that are made of glass-reinforced fibre polyphenylene sulphide PPS, rated to UL 94 V-0 for long term use at 200°C. Pin material is tin bronze, tinned. Depending on the box-type the solder-pins have a cross-section of 0,6 x 0,25 mm and 0,6 x 0,4 mm.
These boxes for PCBs are suitable for filter chokes or ISDN components. The design features 'stand offs' to the PCB to avoid cold soldering, or can be used as a positioning aid. Maximum solder temperature is 350°C for 2 s.
Also available are the H-RG SMD potting boxes for surface-mount. These are suitable for longterm use at 220°C.
