For system integrators as well as hardware and software developers, Schroff has configured a specific 6U MicroTCA system for the development and testing of applications in their original environment.
MicroTCA combines high performance and availability with the advantages of the AdvancedMC and AdvancedTCA technology in one compact system. The 6U MicroTCA system is equipped with a 14 slot backplane (2+2+10) with two MCH (MicroTCA Carrier Hub) slots, two power module slots to the external 12 V supply of the backplane and 10 AdvancedMC slots for single full-size AdvancedMC modules. Further backplanes (eg, 2+2+12) are available as an option.
The hot-swap capable fan unit with three DC fans and an easily exchangeable air filter in the air expulsion area at the front provides reliable cooling. The speed of the fans is regulated via temperature sensors that are incorporated in the system.
For the power supply, two 1U power supplies with 300 W each, 12 V/25 A and a range of 85 to 264 V a.c. are integrated. Alternatively, power supplies with an output range of 48 V/6,25 A are also available.
The compact MicroTCA system is based on the proven ratiopacPRO systems case and for ease of handling it is equipped with two handles at the front. The system is shielded appropriately, is suitable for 19" assembly and corresponds to the PICMG Standards MicroTCA.0 Draft 0.9 and AMC.0 RC1.1.
