8-channel 8-bit DACs have high linearity

Optimised for applications with the need for 8-bit resolution, austriamicrosystems' AS1504/05 DACs deliver very high linearity for eight analog output channels. With shutdown and midscale reset, the devices deliver superior integral nonlinearity (INL) of typically ±0,15 LSB (±0,75 LSB max) - as well as superior differential nonlinearity (DNL) of typically ±0,1 LSB (±0,5 LSB max). With a mid-scale reset, the AS1504 is ideal for potentiometer replacements where electronic adjustments start at a nominal value. This low-power DAC is also well-suited for bandwidth and frequency control like in audio or video applications and for gain adjustments in audio or video amplifiers. It is also well suited for automatic adjustments and geometric correction in CRT displays and other applications. The AS1505 provides independent control of the max and min values of the output voltage range and allows separate zero-scale voltage settings. Both devices operate from a +2,7 to 5,5 V supply, and are available in 16-pin SOIC-150 packaging.
