Panasonic Electronic Devices has released to market new aluminium electrolytic surface-mount capacitors and new speciality polymer aluminium electrolytic surface-mount capacitors that are suited for lead-free reflow-soldering at high temperatures.
Since the melting temperature of lead-free solder is higher than that of the current solder and also the reflow-soldering method at high temperatures is essential, electronic components used for reflow-soldering are required to have improved heat resistance properties. These surface mountable components are guaranteed for peak temperatures of 260°C.
The aluminium electrolytic capacitors have low impedance, long life and compact size. The speciality polymer aluminium electrolytic capacitors have superior frequency response, stable temperature characteristics and low profile.
