Wickmann claims its new Series 462 is the world's first SMD fuse with 150 A breaking capacity for mains voltage protection.
With respect to the environment, the 462 construction is, like all new Wickmann products, completely lead-free and applicable to lead-free wave and reflow soldering processes.
These fuses incorporate patented new design features, giving superior overcurrent protection performance in a packaging that measures only 4,7 x 4,5 x 10,5 mm. The time-lag characteristic with rated currents from 500 mA to 5 A enables a wide range of primary protection for applications like AC/DC converters, power supplies for mobiles, IT equipment, consumer electronics, game equipment, shavers and health care devices.
Due to UL and VDE certificates, the series 462 enables the customer to more easily obtain worldwide approvals for their electronic equipment.
