Nicomatic offers its range of Switch'Air non-stick 4-leg and round domes in the following diameters: 4 mm (round), 5 mm (round), 6 mm, 8,4 mm and 12,2 mm (with and without dimple, activation forces from 140 to 420 g, nickel-plated or one side gold-plated). Taking advantage of its experience in the dome market, Nicomatic also launched a special type of metal dome, the Switch'air non-stick dome. This patented dome helps to create a cushion of air between the domes so that they do not stick together.
The domes can be ordered in bulk quantities, in tubes of 800 domes each or in sheets for custom made arrays. They can be designed with Kiss cuts (series of cuts in the polyester/adhesive carrier around the dome) or with a spacer (additional layer applied under the retaining layer with channels enabling a volume of air around the dome). This latter technique prevents any metal dome movement throughout the guaranteed life of the product.
They can be assembled on PCB or on a keypad. The assembly of the single dome or domes in tubes is made either with the tube work station or automatic placement machine.
