RS Components has introduced a further 8000 new products in its RS CD catalogue launched in October 2006.
One very useful product is the disabled access pushbuttons (switches) suitable for the public transportation industry as well as for fleet management, car-hire and logistics businesses.
Manufactured by EAO, the Series 56 range are names synonymous with public transport for passenger access control in the UK. The Series 56 features a bright front bezel, LED 'halo' illumination and a large touch surface that can be supplied with raised symbols and a front bezel with braille for the partially sighted. It immediately focuses attention on the control.
The Series 56 is suitable for new and refurbishment applications. This self-cleaning, snap-action-switching system features superior tactile feedback. The low actuation force makes it ideally suited for use by disabled users.
The pressing area can be supplied with a wide choice of standard, customised, raised or engraved symbols in multiple languages. For additional impact, a switching unit is available with a choice of red, green or yellow halo LED illuminations. The raised bezel is available in standard yellow or orange, as well as red, blue, green, black and dark grey.
EAQ's Series 56 range of single, double-sided pushbuttons and indicators is made of tough thermoplastic housing, metal lens and is protected to IP67 protection rating. The robust design meets the rigorous demands of public use. The range can be glass and screw-less mounted, and is suitable for internal and external applications including door controls, toilet controls (door open, lock, flush) emergency help points and egress control.
