Machine provides fast visual verification of PCB assemblies

Speedprint's Digital Vision Comparator 2020 was designed as a standalone machine to offer fast visual verification of PCB assemblies including component values, polarity and positioning and aids the detection of short circuits etc.

Using state-of-the-art digital technology and Windows 98 software, this machine permits comparison between a known good PCB reference image and a PCB under test. The unit offers features that incorporate quick set-up operation and programming, programmable 100% inspection and on screen identification of defect areas.

The machine can be used for surface mount or conventional components and, when viewing a component, can zoom into X20 magnification for closer inspection and identification. Rapid switching between the overlaid images highlights defect areas. The marked image can then be printed to accompany defective PCBs to a rework area.
