Souriau’s UTS connectors with cable grommet sealing can be used on almost any product exposed to environmental conditions. Each grommet cavity has a membrane that is pierced only when a terminated wire is loaded. This means there is no need for a filler plug.
The grommet has three sealing barriers that are capable of handling cable insulation diameters from 1,7 to 3,0 mm. The discrete sealing solution uses proven grommet technology Souriau has developed for harsh environments. Sealing level is rated to IP67 and IP69K. The UTS system is said to be easy to assemble with the grommet retained by a simple backshell to maintain a pressure seal.
Grommets are available for the 14-12 layout with female plugs and male receptacles. There is also a grommet version interchangeable with the UTO (metal circular type) Trim Trio series.
Applications are for equipment and machines for public works, agricultural machines, trucks, tractors, trailers, outdoor enclosures etc.
